Dr Ron Lavi
Ron’s research is in algorithmic game theory and internet economics, which is a relatively new research discipline that has evolved since the beginning of the 2000s. It employs mathematical tools (e.g., graph theory, probability theory, combinatorics) to study various topics on the border of economics, game theory and computer science. Examples include the design and analysis of auctions (which are the main source of revenue for Internet companies like Google and Facebook), social networks, crowdsourcing websites, cryptocurrency systems, etc. This active research community holds an annual conference and to obtain a better feel to the type of research being offered.
