Alastair completed his Master’s in Mathematics (MMath) here at the University of Bath in 2022 and will be working under the MaThRad grant as a PhD student in the department. His research interests lie in the field of probability and stochastic processes, with his master’s thesis being on stochastic processes with respect to cosmic rays. Other interests in mathematics include Markov process, Lévy Processes and Stochastic Calculus. When Alastair is not doing mathematics, he has a keen interest rugby and enjoys going to the gym and has just started Olympic weightlifting.
