A collaborative network for enhancing diversity in mathematics
Count me in! is a new scheme, run by the Department of Mathematical Sciences, to promote better mentorship and networking for underrepresented communities within undergraduate, postgraduate, and early-career mathematicians at Bath. The scheme will involve pairing talented mathematicians with experienced mentors to provide bespoke networking opportunities, and as a way for the University to learn more about the challenges that exist, particularly in relation to diversity, in building future careers as mathematicians.
We hope that the scheme will provide a voice to staff and students in sharing the challenges and benefits of diversity in mathematics.
Funding has been provided by the University Research Culture Fund.
